I have DC Case that I bought several years back from the original owner's estate. It has the original web style rear tires @60% and round spoke front wheels. It had never had the cultivator off until the owners kids cut it off with a tourch for the estate auction.(They thought the cultivator hanging on it would make it worth less $$$) It is a dual fuel tank model, has straight sheetmetal, castiron grill, and runs super. I was told that it is a 1939 model. I also was told that some of the parts were leftover CC parts put on an early DC. I was going to sell this tractor, but my local Case dealer said he thought it may be of more value than I thought. What are some of your opinions on what this tractor may be worth? Thanks for any replies.
P.S. I am now starting to think of restoring this tractor. Should I, or should it be left original?

Do you have the cultivators and does it have a dual fuel manifold on it in good condition? What is the serial number? How were you planning to modify it?

I don't have the cultivators. They were hauled out in the scrap before the sale. It does have the dual fuel manifold, and it is in good condition. As far as my thoughts, basically just a good clean up and then repaint. It runs great, and rear tires are fine, I would also replace the front tires. One will no longer hold the tube in, and the other is very weather checked. (Tractor was always backed into the shed, so rears were never in the sun, but front end caught the sun rays)

It's probably worth about as much as the same vintage Farmall M, perhaps a little more since it still has the dual fuel manifold on it. I thought it might be even more valuable if it was one of the first ones built. I looked for a source that would tell me what the serial numbers were on the first DC's built, but I couldn't find anything. As you said, they began production in 1939 and should have a serial number beginning with 43. Might post a message for DC Tom. He may even have a "build card" for it.

Thanks for the info. I'll find the serial number, and see if DC Tom has any info.
