Noticed that the store on this stie has a elec ign kit for my '59 Case 310B for $91. I am in need of a new cap, points, wires, etc and was figuring why spend $50 on that old stuff when I can go new school for another $40 and not have to worry about it. They say it bolts right up.

Do you think the electronic ignitions put out a hotter spark than a conventional distributor? I've heard that a magneto spark is hotter than a conventional distributor.

I belive these are magneto driven. They claim that there is no wear on any cog/friction driven parts so it must be mag based. I noticed they do recommend their 40KV coil, which is another $40 though.
