Wayne,

I just purchased brake balls and springs for my 401 from a Case dealer. Not sure if the boots are available but suspect they are. Apparently these brakes were used on later tractors.

I don't have a 401 parts manual but can cross the p/n's you listed. Note that the first character in the old p/n is the letter O not a zero. Dealers sometime list under either.

Boot.....O8762AB...A27465
Spring...O8780AB...A30897
Ball.....O8296AB...211-15

Case dealer should have the parts you need. I just finished a brake job on a 310, just needed cleaned up and new balls. No Case dealers in my area. I bought the balls @ the link. Type "chrome E52100 alloy steel ball" in the search thing.

Wayne,

You might want to check the seats that the balls ride in to make sure they aren"t pitted too badly. These are round, concave, and set in the disks. They are very hard steel? I think. Several of mine were badly rusted and had to be replaced. They can be tough to get out, so I would recommend only replacing any that are really bad - not cheap either, as I recall.
