I have a David Brown Diesel with a non-functioning three point hitch. The previous owner changed the fluid in hopes that would fix the problem, but it did not. I cleaned the screen filter last night and will fill it with fluid tonight and check it out. Is there anything I"m missing here? Should my next option be the valve, pump or cylinder? Any help would be appreciated as this is my first tractor.

Do a search on David Brown hydraulics or on Elmer Landman in this forum. You will find previous postings on this problem.

I have a David Brown Tractor. 53 hp diesel. It runs great is reliable, except that the power lift/hydraulics get very "tired" after the tractor runs over a few minutes. I have drained and changed the hydraulic oil once, and it did not help at all. The hydraulic oil is very mily looking. I do know that the boot on the shifter is broken and may be letting in water, but I thought changing the oil out would have fixed this problem, if only temporatily, but it didn't. I hear that you are the expert on this matter. YOur help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
