I am new to this forum so please bear with me, I am sure you have answered this question many times, but I need to know. I grew up in Idaho in potato country and we use 930 comfort kings for everything, I feel this tractor would out perform 4020 John Deeres hands down as it did many times. I have wanted to find one for my farm as I live in Missouri now but I have not had much luck. Today at a dealership I found an 830 it was a back row beauty, open station it looks well used but not abused, its wide front three point with dual hydralics, when I climbed on it I say that it did not have a clutch pedal just a pedal on both sides,Is this an inching pedal for case o matic if so is this a good transmission set up? It had a 4 speed with a hi and lo side, something that did look strange was silicone around the bell housing. Please tell me about these tractors and what they are worth. I also have a standard tractor it has a hand clutch 6 cylinder diesel with hydralics but no 3 point. Would I be money ahead to overhaul the standard or purchase the 830, also how is the 830 on fuel? any help or commments would be appreciated. Mike

Lots of stuff going on here!
The 930's both six speed and eight speed are great tractors and will easily outwork the 830 Case. The 830 is around a 70 horse machine. The particular 830 you are looking at may or may not be a good one; only you can decide that.
At the left of this page at the top left is a section called 'Marketplace' and in that is classified ads. Last week there was a Case 930 CK with cab and front loader listed that sounded real good for $3750. It may still be there.
