I was reading on a post about someone recommending adjusting the drive chains. I was curious how one would go about doing that? It looked to me that you could only remove a link to adjust it and those links are so big. How else would you adjust the drive chains and could anyone tell me what sort of drive behavior would trigger needing adjustment?

Adjusting the drive chains requires you to remove the shifter top housing, if your tractor has a PTO. You can than remove the back cover were you will find the two square head bolts that are tightened to take up slack. Make sure you loosen the axle housing nuts first. I do have a picture with the rear housing removed. The adjustment bolts are visible in the picture. Let me know if you would like me to post it. The links are so big, I doubt one could be removed and the chain still be long enough, unless you went with smaller sprockets.

Here is a CO. Everything you see is the same as a D series, except the brake pedals.
