I just finished redoing the powershift in my 870 and am in the process of putting it back in the tractor. Whenever I get the powershift unit slid in the housing and all the front bolts tightened down, the output gear in the rear of the unit(that meshes with the range gears), the c-2 and c-3 clutch pack, and the drum shaped housing that c-2 and c-3 pack is in, all tightens up too, and will not turn. All I need to do is loosen the 8 front bolts that hold the whole unit in the tractor up some and then all of those will turn freely. But with the bolts tightened down, they all freeze fast. Should this be like this, or is something wrong. The shaft that goes through the center of the powershift unit will turn freely whether the unit is tightened up or not, and I know that part is the way it should be.
