Hello,

I recently purchased a VAC case out of a mans front yard. He told me that it ran in 2003, he was using it in his garden when it started knocking. He parked it and didnt touch it untill i picked it up. I cleaned the carb adjusted the points and tryed to pull it off, but the engine is locked up. I am going to use this tractor to pull antique stock 3200 lbs after i rebuild the engine. If anyone has any suggestions on bigger pistons, shaving the head, bigger valves, jeted carbs. I would love to hear from you.
Thanks, Antique Puller Guy

See what your clubs rules will allow. I'm rebuilding one with 148 parts in a VAC block.
You can get 3 7/16 sleeve kits for a VAC. Most Case engines up to the 201s can be made to fit but all are longer than a VAC engine. Call me for further info. 863-673-0363.

Before you go to far with that motor NATPA allows a 148 to be put in them and you can get much more power out of them.

I'd like to see that in writing from a tech committee member. The way I read the rules a G148 wouldn't even be Div5 legal in a VAC.

I guess I need to dust off that G201 that's sitting in the barn and drag another VAC out of the parts patch...
