i believe i located the problem with it.I believe the powershirt swith itself is bad. Sometimes there would be more than two elec. solenoids activated at a time and reverse was out completly on the switch. The first time i checked the solenoids all of them were hot.move the p/r selector and the next time three were activated. the local farm salvage here has seven of these tractors for parts and has sold every switch out of them. I put one on order with the case dealer here.437.00 bucks i sure hope this fixes it.i'll let you folks know in a day or two,by the way thank-you to the folks who replied and gave me infomation where to start looking . Ben

thanks for the reply, the switch is sealed up pretty well . the fellow at the salvage yard said there is a springs and balls mounted on contact plates and the housing for them wear out over time allowing them to make contacts in places they shouldn't . my new switch is supposed to be here to day . i'll know pretty soon. after taxes and shipping that varmit was over $500.00 i sure hope it fixes it. bennie
