Tom, you are the busiest guy on the forum. I hate to ask, but I need favor. I've got a 1951 DC 4. The serial plate is missing and the serial number on the flange has been partially gouged out, must have hit a fence post or something. The number reads 55082-- DC. It may have been shipped as A DC-3, and I bought it from Illinois. It has hydraulic lift and a second valve, but that could have been added later. If you could look for a DC number that roughly fits this sequence, I'd be most grateful. It may not be 100% but at least it would be close. I'd like to restore it. Thanks!

cmboted: i went thru all 100 of the 55082 cards and guess what, they all were built as "DS" no DC's at all i didnt look where they all were shipped to but most all of them were exported or shipped to lousiana, flordia, texas or california, if you want me to try to find one shipped to ill. i will, as there is only 100 of them, only two digits missing sure would be nice to have them. sorry tom

Tom, I am not sure about the numbers after the 550, they are pretty marred, not 100% sure about the 0, so if you can find me a 1951 DC-4 shipped to IL, I'll owe you a "few cool ones" when I get to shake your hand.
