I'm too old to shovel, so I bought my neighbors
Massey 22 narrow front w/rear blade. Does ok but,
my brother's wide front w/rear blade Ferguson is
a lot better. I remember years ago using front blade on farm tractor that was great, but had to be very careful to have lots of rear weight with chains. Nose diving down hill could get you into trouble real fast. What works best for you guys that have to deal with snow in hilly country?

I have found that the best way to move snow is to use a snowblower not a plow. Unless you are in a residential area with houses nearby, this best way to move snow. It doesn"t tear up your lawn and it doesn"t leave banks that cause the driveway to drift back over.

I've plowed with just about every thing C D L 300 300/bhl front mount and rear blade even an 8n and a TO30 furgee, skid loaders and a wd chalmers they all bring back memories. back in the 70's I bought a Dodge with a plow on it and the only time I get on a tractor now to move snow is when I put the big blower on cause the snow is over 2' deep. sure is nice sittin inside. the only other way i can think of that would be easier is to hire sombody. But we got another foot an ahalf last night and more supposed to be commin tonite.ahhh good ol upstate NY.

I like the front blade much better here in the hills of WV, but you have to have weight and chains on the rear. It does a better job, plus saves your neck from having to look back all the time. Also much easier to push snow up hill.

I'VE PLOWED ALOT OF SNOW, HERE IN THE THUMB OF MI. BUT HAVE A 4X4 AND I WENT AND BOUGHT A PLOW FOR IT AND YES IT'S NICE SITTING INSIDE WITH THE HEAT ON LOW BECAUSE IT'S SO NICE AND WARM. BESIDES BY THE TIME I WARM HER UP AND GET THE CHAINS ON AND THIS AND THAT, THE P/U WITH A BLADE IS THE ANSWER. TRY TO WAIT UNTIL SUMMER,THERE ALOT CHEAPER THEN. YOU CAN PICK UP A NICE LITTLE TRUCK FOR 400-1500.00. BESIDES IN 18 DAYS IT'S GONNA BE SPRING. GOOD LUCK, GARY
