Brent,

Decals, Paint, Parts and more importantly, Shop Manuals, are all available through Yesterday's Tractors. That's where I picked up the shop manual for my '49 VAC. All of the little bits of info that people share, will help you if any problems arise.

Your VAC-14 is Case's version of Ford's 8N. I guessing yours has a 3pt hitch and the hydraulics are engine driven, the 8N is not. I think it is better than the 8N because of that. Just my thought. Oh, one other thing; the 8N will cost twice as much. Go figure.

Not to mention the fact that a 8N is UGLY!

You'd be amazed at how many of the parts for these tractors are still available through your local Case/IH dealer.

When I was restoring my son's VAC the counter man at the dealership here would get a big ol grin on his face every time I came to see him. Their prices on parts will pucker you up!

If you want to save some money start by going to the parts and supplies page right here at YT.

Now, Aug, don't forget to tell him to start lookin' in all the local boneyards. Check the boneyards here on site as well. Most of them will ship UPS, and/or truck every day. The boneyards will save you some serious bucks on a lot of parts, but don't expect to get them for nothing, they know what they got and what it's worth.

Your tractor is a 1953 VAC-14. Lots of places on the site here to get your parts, manuals, decals, etc. Just take a look around the site. I bought my 51 VAC for $775 with a blade. Prices will vary quite a bit on these tractors. You didn't say much about the condition of the tractor etc. Lots of people on this board that are good sources for info on restoring this type of tractor. Good luck with your new toy and have fun with it.

No problem Brent, I'm usually lurking on one of these boards. I've got a copy of an original service manual for VAC's and most of the VA series. So if you got some off the wall questions, I might be able to fax you some info if needed. If you don't have a fax, maybe I can snail-mail you some copies. Catch my e-mail address above and let me know.
