I am overhauling my uncles 1951 SC at tech school and have discovered that somebody has put 3 11/16 sleeves and pistons in the tractor. My question is , who made this sleeve and piston kit for a case SC? All I find when I look for parts is 3 1/2 and 3 5/8 for this tractor, and those sleeves and pistons are not cheap. Some other uncles of mine have a parts SC that also Has the 3 11/16 pistons and sleeves. I plan on using the parts tractor sleeves because the have alot less wear. Does anyone know were I can get a ring set for the 3 /11 16 pistons?

The pistons ar marked ( COMFORMATIC GE230 )

Any info on these 3 11/16 sleeves, pistons, and rings would be great. Thanks, DRD

DRD,

Sealed Power from FM lists them also.

Part # 5486 KX .

There are a couple of ways to fix your

worn sleeve problem ,one is to bore the sleeve,
press in a repair sleeve and bore to size. Another
is to take a similar sleeve , turn the OD and bore the ID to what you need . Email me if you
want some thoughts or part #'s [email protected]

I got rings for my 3 11/16 SC pistons from Hastings Piston Ring Co. They have a web site. Would you be interested in selling a set of 3 11/16 pistons? They were after market M&W who were bought out and closed.

I done some research for a Old Power Pride magazine article on M&W and done a story on them. They are actually still in business. Alamo owns them. I had talked to a couple of the high up suit & Tie guys and there is some NOS left, but they are not selling it as far as I know.

I think they had their factory in the Des Moines, Iowa area. A few years back I tried to get a set of 4-1/16" DC pistons from Valu Bilt but they never got any in. I had to settle for Case 4". Why are they sitting on that old stuff when people want to buy it?
