I am trying to lighten my 930 6 speed for pulling. I have an old LA parts tractor with the plain rear end cover except for the pto. Will this pto and driveshaft physically fit the 930's transmission? I am wanting to keep the pto for dyno tuning but still get rid of the massive original casting for the hydraulic housing. Is the LA unit strong enough? I would think this is possible since the transmissions are so similiar, but I wanted to see what you folks thought. Many thanks. BT

It will fit, but it will be difficult to make the PTO operational. The LA has a gear engagement that runs through the clutch. The 930 has a live PTO, and you will be giving up the clutch with the large rear end cover.

So basically I would have no way to disengage the pto other than stopping the engine, right? I may not actually do this, just thinking. Thanks, BT
