While traveling to Macomb, IL from St. Louis, I saw a Case parked along side the highway (67). I thought it might be a 400 which should be similar to my 401, I think. On the way home I stopped for a good look. It was bigger than I thought, It had a straight six engine, I believe a diesel but I was too far away to be certain, and it said "Comfort King" on the side in script. Just wondering what this was. Thanks, Chris

Chris -

In 1960, the hundreds series (600, 700, etc) were replaced by the '30' series (630, 730, 830). These had the same basic paint pattern as your 400, but the styling was different. In 1965, the "Comfort King" name was added to the '30' series tractors. There were a number of different tractors in this series, from small utility 430 and 530 up to the 1030, which was over 100hp.

If it had a tricycle front end it was probably a 930 if it had a wide front end it could be either a 930 or a 1030. These are the only comfort kings that had six cylinder engines all of the smaller ones had 4 cylinders.

The 1030 has a place up front for weights that you can see, the 930 has the weights behind the radiator screens.
