I did get my 311 running, ended up switching plug wires around. Now I need to readjust the throttle linkage at the back of the carb, I'm assuming when it works rite, (Idles, opens up at the rite RPM's), that the govenor will be set,,,,, ??? Anyway, thanks for all your advice, Bernsy

There nothing you can do externally on the governor except check that the arms move freely. Setting the throttle linkage is relatively simple but is hard to explain in text w/o writing a very long post.

I can scan and e:mail 2 pages re throttle adjustment from the Case manual if you like. Pages have some graphics and may take some time to download on your end depending on your computer speed.

Let me know if you want to try that.
