WHERE DO YOU DRAIN THE HYD OIL AND WHAT TYPE OF OIL DO I PUT IN IT. JUST BOUGHT IT AND WANT TO CHANGE THE FLUIDS BEFORE I RESELL IT. CAN YOU SHUT THE BELT PULLY OFF?

just reg hyd oil. no you can't shut pulley off but you can take it off.

DO I DRAIN THE HYD BY THE PEPCOCK BY THE HYD PUMP ON THE BELT PULLY AND THEN THE FILL IS A LITTLE PLUG ON UPPER SIDE OF PUMP? THANKS LUKE

I don't think loosening the petcock will drain all the oil out. Might want to remove one end of the hydraulic hose if you are intent in getting all of it out. You will need to use the petcock to bleed air out of the system when you refill it. After refilling and the tractor running, engage the lever to the up position and open the petcock until oil begins to come out lower the hoist and repeat. The fill plug is on the top of the housing. It should have a dip stick on it.

Is your tractor a later model? Does it have the front mounted pump? Does the belt pulley housing have an external set screw on it? If so to stop it from running, loosen the set screw and grab hold of the belt pulley and slide it out away from the tractor. This will disengage the drive gear. If you have the belt pulley mounted pump, the belt pulley shaft must turn to run the pump. If this is the case, you can only remove the nut holding the pulley on and slide the pulley off.
