Im New here and have noticed that some of the older posts have mentioned 930s with these Elwood Axles. I have never heard of them before let alone seen one. Im wondering how are they driven? Are they hydraulic? Where they ment to fit GP Comfort Kings or the western tractors?

Thanks for any info.

Thanks for the Info DKase.
A 1030 with a Turbo and 4x4 would be one hell of a tractor. Im Kinda glad to hear that they are mechanicaly driven. All the hydraulic 4x4s Ive ever heard about were always a pain to keep working. Like to find a 1030 or 930 some day with one. Would make a much better Tractor then a 2290 with 4x4 in my oppinion.

Question do you have a digital camera? and an account at a website like Photo bucket? If you do you could use the URL to post an image.

Every one I have seen has been on a 1030 turbo row crop tractor. They are mechanicaly driven by a gearbox that bolts to the transmision just ahead of the left brake assembly. I do have pictures of them around somewhere. If I was a little smarter I could figure a way to post them, but I have not figured a simple way to raise my IQ.
