Firstly, let me explain that although I "grew up" with a 996 and now own one, I never had hands on experience of working with tractors before this recent purchase! I want to store the tractor in a building with a door about 92" (2.3m) high. It is fitted with tyres labelled "13.6-36 TZ 13". One of these came with the tractor, the other is a replacement I got to match the least worn of the original pair. It is an eastern European make, Barum, the only one my local tyre place could source. I had to grind away some of the (admittedly rust patched) door frame to stop it from fouling the tyre. According to the manual, the height of the tractor with "13.6/12-36" tyres is 2.5m. How can I lose 20cm of height without reducing the tyre pressures to ridiculously low levels? My dad's 996 "looks" much shorter but I never checked the tyre labelling the last time I saw it.

Might sound silly but I knew a guy once who had similar problem with combine. Fortunately the floor was not concrete so he dug two "trenches" in the doorway and got in like that. Have to be careful that the rain doesn't run in though.

I don't think 32" tyres would help.
