When I get up in the morning I usually read the paper. Not much good news in it with everything going on in the world. When I watch the local news on TV or the world news it is about the same. Geting a little old, lots of friends passing away. But, not everything is bad, have a nice home, good wife, good retirement, 38 years in the military. Been their, done that. Have a couple of farms and I enjoy restoring tractors, Case mostly, and going to this forum to see what other Case enthusiast have to share about their tractors, there questions, and what works and what does not. Like I said, spent most of my adult life in the military. I know what freedom is and I know about freedom of speech. What I don't understand is why a few would take this forum, which as I understand it is for tractor discussion, and turn it in to a place to make political statements. There are other places to do that, lets keep this site a place for tractor discussion. Now, I am a big boy, I can take shots from who ever wants to hand them out for my statements here. I can ensure anyone they won't be near as bad as those I have had to take in places around this world or the times I have been spit on for wearing the uniform. But, I love this world, this country, and most in it.

Gary, First of all, thank you for your service to this country. As a fellow vet I know that few people truely appreciate the sacrifices that the men and women of our armed forces make for the rest of us. Secondly, I agree with what you are saying. There are better places availible if one wishes to talk politics. Third, where in Iowa are you from? I live just north of Des Moines.

Lincoln - I live in Polk City, which as you know is also just North of Des Moines. Grew up on a farm in Northwest Iowa, Le Mars to be specific. In 1964 Uncle Sam sent be a letter and said he needed my services, who was I to say, no. I still stay as close to farming as I can, as long as it does not interfere with my restoration of tractors!!

I am retired from truck driving after 30 yrs and am enjoying my retirement for the last nine yrs. First time I've seen this site.Seen it in the Small Farm Magazine.I am a Case owner Model 401 diesel.Love that tractor.I use it in the woods everyday to yard out firewood for my business.
Old Abe's news is a good place for Case people to look for parts etc.
Have a Good day...John
