830 starting problem

hooked charger up wrong on 6 volt batteries.replaced batteries;still not starting;what did i fry or where does my problem lie? thanks

forgot to tell you also to check that you are gettink current to solenoid when you turn key. that part could be bad.

i assume starter is not turning motor? i would take solenoid on top of starter apart {very carefully- do not twist small screws as you might breake wire off)you can then turn round large washer around or just polish an clean allparts. you will find i screw (contact)will beburnedan will probably not be making contact. turn that screw half turn an you will be good as new!
