My old case 530 ck is an amazing machine I have to remind myself that it's over 40 like me and not to expect perfection. My problem is when I want to go forward after selecting a gear and a range. The reverser tends to sound like it's out of gear unless I really pursuade it once it's in forward it is fine....Help?

I just built a garage and can't wait to take your advice even if the thing needs to be split. I've never had the hoe off but it looks relatively easy as long as it's balanced to stand on it's own. It's also a pleasure coming across some many people who know about case machinery and love the stuff the way I do. It's ignited a fire in me.

It sounds like you may have some burring on the syncro hub, in severe cases I have seen them impossible to get in. If you refrain from grinding it , maybe it will loosen up as you use it, but you may have to split it and replace the syncro assembly. Check the fork to make sure it is not bent causing incomplete engagement, good luck, mEl
