I just bought a 36 CC Case for $300. It is complete but thats about all. The engine is stuck manifold is busted rear tires are rotten it has car wheels on the front and the gas tank has a bird nest in it. It does have a lift on it that I think runs off the PTO. What are these tractors worth? I collect industial tractors but I thought this CC was to cheap to pass up. What should I do with it now? Fix or sell for scrap iron?

If it is pretty well complete, I would restore it or at least sell it to someone that would like to restore it. I don't like seeing these old tractors go to the junkman. Where are you located?

I'm in WV. That's way too far for me to haul one. If you put it in the classifieds on this web site you should find an interested buyer.

Of the 4 30 series tractors I have, it all comesdown to this statement "How deep are your pockets?" thats what will tell you how much you want to do to it. Anything is restorable, it's just how much you want to or can spend on it.

If you are wanting a CC Case, you are better off going out and buying one that is fixed and restored. I have had it with finding something in the grove, grass, along the road or in junk yards and trying to fix it up and sell...tired of being ripped off for replacement parts at dealers and after market dealers. believe me.

Like Ted said, they all are fixable, just depends on how much you want to do it. If you decide not to fix it, I am interested in it.

If you are going to do a full restoration is makes very little difference what condition it's in if you are going to rebuild it all anyway. My experience!

I agree with Allan. My experience with DC's that ran is that they are really no better off than the fully stuck model. Both, basically need everything. Full restoration is just that, FULL! If you just want to make it run, and give it a paint job, ok, but that is not restored, just painted. Of all 4 DC's we have, two ran and two didn't,the one of them that was stuck needed the least repair. Virtually every transmission bearing in all four were replaced, every one has loose chains, evryone needed valve work, all all of them were missing some pieces. So, if you enjoy this kind of thing, go for it. If you expect to make money by fixing it up? Call the scrap yard, or part it out (you'll make more money than by fixing it.) A fully restored CC on rubber is only going to bring $2000 at best. The tires will cost you half taht much.
