Is the Headlite size on Original 12V headlites for the 300 different than Modern Sealbeams? My customer tells me they are a little bit larger. Still less than 5"OD. CASE no longer furnishes them. I have the CASE#, the Guide# & a Tung Sol#. Dead ends, everywhere. What works? Thanks.

The 4-3/4" sealed beams will work in the original housings if you are willing to modify the sealed beams a little. I split a piece of vacuum tubing down one side, opened it up and siliconed it to the lamp. I used a 6-inch band clamp to hold the rubber tubing on the lamp until the silicone set up. The metal ring covers the rubber and no one knows the difference except me.

Hi John: Are you looking for a 6 volt or a 12 volt seal beam? I have been discussing seal beams for the Case 300 311 Round Nose tractor with alot of people. It is mighty confusing. I would like to talk to you about it. Call me at (403)240-4771 or email me your telephone number. Joe

I've never been able to find any bulbs to fit mine either. If the six volt ones were availible could you use a resistor so they could be used with a 12 volt system?

John; I have three sets of the 6V headlights with my 300's.They measure 5 1/8th inches from outside edge across, and the seal beam is just about 4 3/4". I believe they are the same size as
the 12V. The seal beams are impossible for me to find either. Some of the after market lights are the same size and look like they were made from the same mold, you just have to replace the 2" carriage bolt with a longer one, because of the standoffs. I have the standoffs but not the bulbs.

Hey CASE 300: Do I understand correctly, that those sealbeams are somewhat larger than todays beams? In my research, the 6V beams are still available. Use this Part# B50322

Hey Hobby: I like to think of it as a CASE Part #. But yes, it is what you would refer to as a CASE IH part #. For the 6V.

Thank you, and no offense intended. I said Case/IH meaning current part number, as opposed to asking if it was a NOS Case number.
