580 CK brakes diffential locks

My 1969 580CK has a right brake that is locked up. From other posts on this forum, I've concluded that is is likely due to worn brake disks and actuating balls.

When I look at the service manual and parts manual, they mention the locking differential. I dont believe I have this on my machine, based on a comparison of the pictures in the manual and looking at my machine. Is this possible? Is the locking differential an optional item or am I overlooking something.

The diff lock is only on one side and on the outside of the brake housing (on the right side on mine). As to it being an option, looking at the manuals that I have it does not appear to be one.

There should be a small lever on the floor that is actuated by your foot (pushing down), that is the diff lock

I dont realy answer your question but I hope this helps a little.

By the way, brakes are easy to fix, good luck.
