I have a 56 model 310 utility with the Eagle 3pt hitch setup. I'm missing the lock and latch for each side. I found them online for ~$130 for the set. I'm just wondering if I would be better off changing the lift arms to the newer style. That way parts are more readily available and cheaper. Any thoughts or ideas? Is there a good place for the lift arms? just want to start using my new toy for what I bought it for.

Rick

I believe your tractor will be worth more by leaving it original. You may find that you will have to modify some of your implements to get them to work with the Eagle Hitch. Sometimes the implement pins are too far apart. I turned one of the implement pins to the inside to make it work on my brush hog. Sometimes the middle arm is not the right length and you might have to buy a longer one to use with some impletments. Those Eagle Hitch middle arms are worth big bucks, so hang on to it. Once you get used to it, you will find tha tthe Eagle Hitch is easier and faster to hook up and unhook implements than a conventional 3-point hitch.

The Eagle hitch is like the Case-o-Matic transmission. People either love it or hate it. I like both. Try this place, he is parting out a 310 Link

Where>Link did you find the parts you mentioned? I am in need of some other Eagle hitch parts.

Thanks for the info, it looks like most people like the Eagle setup so I think I'll give it a shot. I found the parts at>Link
I'm>Link new to tractors, and have never ordered anything from there, but may give them a shot.

Well, I spent a lot of time last night searching this site for Eagle hitch stuff. It looks like most people who have one really likes. I"ll probably end up replacing the parts I"m missing. I found a place that has the parts, but was wondering if there is a better place you would recommend. Thanks.

Just depends on whether or not you want to keep it original. If, you are just looking to use the three point, then go down to your local Farm and Fleet and pick up a couple of cat. #1 lift arms and a top link. Wit a little torch work and a drill you will soon be in business. You may want a couple of small pieces of 3/8 log chain and some clevises to keep it from swaying into the wheels.
