I tried to remove the 1/4" plug on the bottom of the torque converter to drain the fluid out and the plug became "boogered" up and the allen wrench would not work so decided drill a hole in the plug and use an extractor to remove it. Unfortunately, my #2 extractor broke off in the hole and I had to drive the small piece that broke off up through the plue. A #3 extractor removed the plug. The small piece of the #2 is still in the torque convertor hub somewhere. I have the tractor split between the torque tube adn the engine because I am replacing the rear engine seal. The Case O matic assembly is still in the rear half of the tractor with the front of the torque converter exposed. Can the front of the converter, ie the part that extends into the flywheel, be remove to expose the internal cavity of the converter without creating a complicated situation for reassebly? I would like to go in to fish out the broken piece of #2 extractor. Also, I think I have found the seal that I need for the rear of the engine but I want to see if anyone else has any information on a seal that is available today that will replace the orginal. The Case # is G13811. Thanks in advance for the help.

ncpe, The front cover gives you access to the lock up clutch but not to the section where you want to go. You can remove the complete unit and take it apart , I did one many years ago . Uncover your email
and I'll send you some pict's etc, I have a service
manual for it.
