We blew a rod through the side of the block on a case 530 backhoe. We need a block or engine (new or used) whatever we can find to repair. Any ideas, different motor, where to find an engine or whatever help is available please let me know.
Thanks

Gas or diesel block? I am sure it is a Diesel block , they throw rods alot. That is one motor that will not stand dirty oil. Many people can patch the block they have.

It is a gas engine. Who out there can fix a block? Are diesal motors easier to find and if so what would it take to convert it?

Good diesels are hard to find and are longer.Take your block to a local welding shop to see what they say.
