Here's a picture of some fine old Case tractors taken at my show last summer. That's me behind "Lazarus" with the blue hat and striped shirt. Brother Ralph has the yeller shirt on and Sky is facing away with the green t-shirt.
The tractor on the left is a 500 diesel.

Les,
With all those Case tractors at your show, there must have been some Case dealers in New Hampshire. LOL Don

Thornton, NH (see my post below).
Yes, Don, there was at least one Case dealer in NH. It's still there (as Case/IH and various other lines) in Plainfield, on the Connecticut River, west side of the state about a third of the way up. Townline Equipment is its name. It's not that close to me but I buy parts from them on occasion.

Thanks Les. I was wondering if they were originally Case or IH. Don

Yep, we decided to have our own show. Just a bunch of us that likes the old iron gets together for a day. No schedule, except for a 2 o"clock parade through the campground and along the airstrip followed by a bluegrass concert.
And no rules, except that everybody should have fun.
Working things and farmer inventions encouraged. We"ve had things like a stationary baler working, saw rigs, wood splitting and lumber planing.

I live in Thornton but the show is in Woodstock, only about 2 miles from my house. Next one is July 16, 2005.

When we get sick of playing with tractors, we fire up the music. This is my group, the Blake Mountain Band. That's me on the guitar, my oldest brother, Dave, on the bass and my buddy Sky playing bones. You won't find anybody in the world that can play better than Sky can. Some people come just for the music.

There's plenty more to see when you're here. This isn't exactly agriculture country. I believe agriculture was in its heyday in NH prior to the Civil War. In 1850, the state was close to 90% cleared. Now it's almost 90% forested. We're here in the mountains. Right in the middle of the best skiing in the East.
But there's still a few of us that keep the woods from taking over every field and like the old iron.

Les,
Tractors and Bluegrass!! It must be a great time. When we brought the DC LP back from Texas we stopped at a small gas station/truck stop and there was a bluegrass band playing just for fun. What a great memory. Don
