I have a Case L that is EXTREMELY hard to steer. It takes both hands to turn the steering wheel when the tractor is not moving. I was told the previous owner had the tractor at a public event. A lady turned her car too short and hit the front tire of the tractor. They said this bent the steering shaft inside the tractor. A Case dealership took the steering shaft out and straightened it. They said this helped but the tractor still steers extremely hard. Does anybody have any ideas what is going on?

We don't have power steering here. So. when the tractor ain't moving, it's going to be hard to turn the wheel. Most likely, will take two hands to turn. But, when I got my C running. It took two hands to turn it when it was moving. I pulled the zerks out of the king pins. Cleaned out as much crud as I could get out. Then sprayed with WD-40 for a couple of days. Then greased. (operators manual says not to grease the king pins, but to oil)I learn somthing new every day. Still takes two hands to turn it when it is setting still, But, steer's like power steering when moving.
