DC Battery Cover Rubber Corks`

Does anyone know where I can find some of those rubber corks that are used underneath the battery cover on a Case DC? All the ones that I find at any hardware or plumbing store are only 1" long. The Case ones were about 1 1/8" long, best that I can measure an old original one. They are about 1" in diameter on the large end and about 7/8" in diameter on the small end. Does anyone know where I can find some?? Thanks, Bruce

Here is an idea that I have used. Glue or apoxy 1" dowells to the top of the battery cover that are about 3/4" long. Get some crutch tips that just fit over the dowells. The tips will give the compression cushion you need. It isn't original, but nobody will know the difference unless you take the cover off and show them.
