Hey
Me and my uncle currently own a Case model "S" and a model "SC", both of which have wide fronts. After doing some research I discovered that the "SC" is the row crop version of the "S". If this is true why then do both of these tractors have the same non-adjustable wide fronts? Thanks in advance
Allan

I have a 1949 SC3 with an adjustable wide front and an 1954 SC4 with a standard wide front. I understand there were around 400 SC4's built all in 1954.

Hey
Wow a rare SC-4 eh? what makes this tractor so rare? About how many of these tractors were produced and are there any other characteristics such as serial number or other styling designs that would denote it as a SC-4? I know that our tractor does have very large and spindly tires similar to a Cockshutt 30 or a Farmall M. I know that the block is cracked but can it be swapped with a standard model "S" block? Maybe this tractor will get restored sooner than later? how much is an SC-4 worth?

Hey Tom
Just ran across the road to the other farm to take a look at the tractor and check out the serial number. The serial number for this tractor is SC8041162. I also checked the tire size and they are indeed 34 inch rims. Hope that this helps you and I appreciate all your help.
Thanks again
Allan Lance

Hey
Thanks very much for all your help there Tom. I'm ecstatic to say the least. Maybe that tractor will be bumped up in the restoration schedule ahead of my Cockshutt Super 570. About the block though, is that interchangeable with an SC-3 or and S block? Also how much is one of these tractors worth? thanks again
Allan

YES EVERYTHING IS INTERCHANGABLE WITH THE S OR SC-3 PRICE I DONTKNOW FOR SURE BUT IF I HAD ONE ALL RESTORED IT WOULD DEMAND AT LEAST $7000.00 BEFORE I WOULD SELL IT TOM
