Hi Larry-

Here in NW PA we just plowed at least a foot of the worst kind of heavy snow with a slushy bottom. Temp has dropped about 20 degrees since this morning, and where it was plowed off is now solid ice. Fun fun Ho Ho Ho. Had to put the tire chains on the 400 a couple days ago, pulling a load of shelled corn up the driveway and couldn't make it because of the snow and ice from the last blast. I live 30 miles north of Larry in Yorktown (near Muncie). We got 10 inches here with some minor drifting. Plowed all morning and some this AM. Neighbors contributed $45.00 to "old tractor fund" (44 SC Case with 7' blade). No chains - but in 1st a lot today on first pass. I may need a lot of money soon - spittin' oil around the head gasket and manifold front left on engine when I lug it.

Geez, guys, up here in western Wisconsin, next to Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN, all we got is below zero temperatures with wind, 41 below in Embarrass, MN this morning. Scraped our snow flurries off the driveway with the snow shove. Not enough on the ground for a true "white Christmas".

Gee wiz, John,

We must be neighbors, I'm 7 miles east of River Falls. Like you say, colder the the blazes, but the fields are all still brown. Septic systems are going to start freezing up pretty soon if they don't have some hay cover or something.
