The right front steering arm moves about 16th+ turn before the spindle moves. The bearings and spacers for the spindle are shot too. I plan to put in new bearings and spacers. I want to make use of the existing spindle and steering arm. I would weld them together if need be! YOur suggestions as to a way to use these parts and or tips on welding them would be most appreciated.
thanks johnd

I had the same problem on a 800 Diesel. Fixed it by repairing and lubing the entire spindle assembly then tightening the top nut to the tightest I could make it .... then cross-drilled the spindle and arm assembly at an oblique angle, then reamed it for a 3/8" tapered pin. Swedged the tapered pin into the tapered hole with locktight to assure it stayed in. Make sure to leave about 1/2" too long ... which will allow it to be removed if needed. Mine has been tight now for over 20 years.
