311 serial number mystery

I have a 311 case that is gas and i've been to all of the serial number sites that i can find and still don"t see it matching any of the years listed. Serial #6080483

I really don't have beter information than that of most other case fanatic's on here, there are many books to get but at least maybe you should get J.I.Case agricultural and construction equipment 1956-1994 by Tom Stonehouse and Eldon Brumbaugh and Illustrated buyer guide Case Tractors by Peter Letoureau there may be several editions they do have information on this model more so than others that might be about the earlier years

1956 6050301-6068999
1957 6075001-6089800

All from Rock island production plant serial numbers starting with a 8 are from Racine all 300 series came from Rock Island that I am aware of

Hi: The best person I think to comment on serial numbers is Glen (MN). I have two Case 300 311 Roundnose tractors serial number 6053391 and according to Glen is a 1956. Also have serial number 6077773 which is a 1957 according to Glen. Joe

Click on the serial number reference to the left on this web site. Under Case 300 and 320 it lists the starting serial number for 1957 as 6075001. If I did this right, your's is a 1957 model.

case 300 series tractors were built in 1955 and 1956 only. you can e mail [email protected] and he will send you a copy of the build card for a small fee. merry christmas dctom

DC tom I have a 1957 300 series (310) and do have build card 4/17/57 serial #6078481.
