The 1951 SC I had you look up the build information on, 5526844, was made 9-19-51. It has the rear casting for the rockshaft and dual hydraulic valves. Were dual valves an option or an upgrade by a dealer? Noleggs' 1951 SC 5525837 built 8-29-51 is rockshaft ready but has only one valve for hydraulics. Or, maybe since it was close to the model year change, they were out of one valve pumps and started installing two valve pumps to get through the model year. Between his number and mine they made 1007 SC tractors in 21 days. Pretty impressive to me. Did you read my note I left for you? Thanks again! You give insight to these old tractors few collectors ever have the chance to enjoy!!

Gentlemen, The 51 SC i inquired about has a two spool valve and Eagle hitch even if they did not with them. About a year ago I inquired of DCTOM about a 51 DC that also had two spool valve and Eagle hitch. If they were not original, it was best job of add on I have ever seen. I do not if this helps or adds to our confusion. By the way Mr. Lamp, my 42 SC has the standard light bar if that helps. Always nice talking to you guys. Nolegs

I also have a '42 SC. It has the small style fenders and a light bar. That one I know is ok. It is going to be in the next to the next up for an engine rebuild, new paint and rear tires. From looking at old pictures, I think some of the parts from the RC were carried over to the SC such as the fenders and wheels. The SC didn't get its own identity until 1942. I bought the '41 SC just because of its uniqueness.
