How do you bleed the air out of fuel lines on a David Brown Selectamatic 990? Just bought this tractor and do not have a manual yet, and am not an experienced mechanic but am very capable in learning. I would appreciate any help given.

I am sure its the same as the 880, there is a bleed screw on the injector pump, and you use the manual lever on the lift pump to pump air thru, make sure camshaft gets positioned so that the lift pump lever has full action, you can feel the difference when working it. Another tip, take off gas cap and hold a finger over the fuel return line, should be located towards the front of the tank just down from the top. On the 880 I can reach all without help. Blocking the return triples the speed of bleeding.
