I removed my head the other day and found that the cyls have had water in them for quite some time. I will need new sleeves and maybe pistons. Also maybe some valve parts. Were can I get this stuff and what does it cost? I checked with my local Case dealer today. They said they can no longer get the sleeves and pistons. They did order me a service manual though.

How bad are the sleeves? I have lightly honed some that had a light coating of rust and they cleaned up nicely. That being done the pistons were found to be OK and only needed cleaning and new rings. My LA runs well with good compression and no smoke. Replacements can be hard to find and expensive so I suggest seeing what can be saved first.

Hi Kid,
Keith & Bob are right. Contact Don L & also compare to the dealers. I've found that the CaseIH dealers that used to be Case dealers are more thorough & knowledgeable than the dealers that were IH. I sometimes have to call Tipton Iowa (old Case dealer near my hometown) to get info & tell Buffalo MN(old Farmall dealer) the part number so I can pick it up. Most of the time I just call Don.
Whatever works:).
Good Luck!
Steve

Last time I checked, Case had them. You need to find a dealer who is prepared to search for them. You will also be shocked at the price!
