On a DC with Eagle Hitch and the dual hydraulic pump. Which control lever (left or right) raises the lift arms? I am getting confused. Thanks
Bruce

Hey Bruce: I don't care what them other guys tell ya, Here's the straight scoop; The outside lever runs the Eagle Hitch on a SC or DC.

John, please help me more. Is this all correct? The outside lever runs the Eagle Hitch, so that means the top spool in the pump connects to the cylinder base on the left side (via speed controller) and to the hydraulic filter housing on the right side. The right side remote coupler hose connects to the bottom spool on the right side and passes forward (between the upper spool fitting and the filter) on it's way to the remote coupler holder. Am I right so far? The left remote coupler hose connects to the bottom spool. How does that left hose get to the remote holder? Does it start out at the pump going rearward and then make an S curve to the holder?? Or does it connect to a 45 degree fitting and run tightly against the lift cylinder to the holder? (forward of the top left spool sdaptor fitting). How long are each of these coupler hoses, from the end of the coupler to the attached hose thread)? Thanks for your help, my e-mail is not hidden . Bruce

John,
you are 100% correct according to page 21 of the Dealers Service manual. Inside is for portable cylinder and outside is for Eagle Hitch. Mine must be plumbed wrong. Don

On 4 DC's they are all Eagle hitch inside-push forward to raise.

We had a '64 730 Eagle Hitch. It came new with the inside lever running the Eagle Hitch. My '54 SC has the outside lever running the Eagle Hitch. I understand it has been this way for YEARS, but I don't know how it was set up new. I talked with the original owner. Hydraulic applications were a mounted plow and a Case-Danuser blade. The outside lever/springs are much more worn/used. It was only rarely hooked to a remote cylinder. I'm thinking it came new with outside lever running Eagle Hitch. Beats me. I put a dual spool on my DC before I got my SC. I hooked it up with inside lever Eagle Hitch like our 730 was. When I got the SC the confusion set in. Glenn F.
