Will 930 heads fit onto a 1030 engine and would this improve commpression ratio? My goal is to improve starting on the 1030 even at a cost of some power. Thanks Ed

i dont want to seem pushy, but 1030 heads are not the same as 830 heads. check the casting numbers. the manifolds will not fit.

Comfort King heads are the same weather its a 930 and 730 or 830 1030. The early engines had diff casting #s and had the cut out for the decompressor. Thats the diff in #s.

Yes they will fit. I have put 730 or 930 heads on a 830. Worked fine we used the 730 manifolds. One of the engines uses a taller cyl head i cant remember which is taller. So you need to make sure the head bolts are ok. I think they are the same but something to check. As far as starting starts better power wise cant tell much diff. Hope this helps Thad.

no. 1030 heads have larger valves, intake and exhaust ports so the manifolds wont fit.
