I need to know how the torque tube comes off the rearend housing, the high low has a cast bearing support that as far as I can tell: it bolts to the rearend and the tube goes around it. the support on the bearing end (front) exploded tore up some gears, busted the bearing and tore up the the thing right in front of the bearing, between the support and the pump. also doesanyonehave a parts book and a service manual it is a 1966 530 diesel the tag says 531. one more thing on the lower shaft in the main gearbox, is the thing that looks like a gear that is ground off; is it a spacer I can't tell that it has a purpose otherwise. any andallhelp will be greatly appreciated.

Just take the trans top cover off and there is two nuts under it in the front and then the nuts off of the outside bolts holding the touque tube to the trans housing and it will coma apart.
That thing that looks like a gear with the teath tore off is the oil slinger. It is there to lube the trans when running stationary equipment and tractor in nuetral.

thanks for the reply, I was looking more closely at it and I thought that gear was a slinger or a spacer of some kind. where does the shaft break? is it that coupler in front of the support? I thought I was going to be really bad off with this, but it won't be bad I am wondering what would be some of the causes of this failure.
