I am wondering if my problem is unique or common. Here it is. I have a 1/4 inch hole between the intake port of cylinder #2 and its adjacent water jacket. It appears to be from 53 years of erosion of a weak spot in the casting. Talk about flow through coolant, I've got it. Plan to plug it with JB Weld and a short 1/4 inch nylon screw for a filler. Since the cooling system is "no" pressure and the intake port only has intermittent negative pressure (vacuum), I don't see a problem. The nylon screw should not corrode as a steel one would. Anyone caring to comment will be appreciated.

I guess since J.B. Welds works on coolant leaks on cracked engine nblocks, it should work on the head. I'm not sure how well the J.B. Weld will bond to the nylon screw? Wouldn't a stainless steel screw work just as well?
