Hello, I have a 1975ish 995 DB whose rear lift has suddenly stopped lifting. She's full of fluid, and the other hydraulics work just fine. Wouldn't be a problem if I didn't have a side mount bushhog on the back I can't get off. I seem to remember a little filter screen that might be clogged? As I recall the last guy that worked on it (when I was 12), it was hard to get to, and it was imperative you didn't drop it down in the housing. That's the only thing I can think of. If so, is it something I should tackle myself, or would you suggest finding an expert on these tractors, if there's any still around? ... Or could it be something else? ... Thanks in advance ...

Sounds like a bypass or hold valve is stuck in the control valve.

ok im no elmer . if you want to keep this tractor you need to get a I&T manual at the very least. you need manual #C-203, you can order at TSC or any part store that handles them.sounds like you have a by pass plunger problem or spool valve hung.DBs are great tractors if you can under stand the hydraulic system.check two valves under dimond shaped cover on right side behind control lever. two flat blade. valves take apart slowly and clean.will keep checking this too see if elmer shows up.(not great but under stand) i will try to help but need tractor in front of me to work on.trying to help joe
