I was underneath my model V Case last week doing some scraping and I noticed that on the lower surface of the transmission housing (rearward and to the drivers right side) is what appears to be a small (maybe 3/8") coarse threaded lock bolt (cube-shaped head) and a lock nut along it's shaft. This threads upwards vertically into the bottom of the transmission housing. Anyone out there know what it might be for? Maybe for locking some internal shaft in place? Seems to be a strange place if that's what it is.

It appears to be what the parts book calls a Dog PT set Screw. It locks the Reverse Idler Shaft in place. This shaft doesn't move, the gears (2) on it turn and slide, depending on what gear the transmission is in. It isn't an adjustment, it is just there to keep the shaft from sliding or rotating. It must be loosened if you want to remove the shaft when overhauling the transmission. My 41 VI has one also.

I have a VI that I'm looking for sheet-metal, seat assembly and radiator and mount. Anyone know of a source in or near Ohio?
