Are you sure the stated serial number is for the tractor? Maybe it's the number for the stated model #33 Backhoe attachment for the 580CK. Serial number tag for the tracter is located on the right side of the insturment panel. Engine serial number tag is right side of the block below and a little forward of the starter. Transmission serial number tag is on top of the transmission case below the operators seat. Serial number tag for the #33 backhoe is on the left side of the control tower. Serial number tag for the loader is on the left side of the loader frame just behind the lift cylinder pivot and forward of the tire. Left & right is identified as sitting in the seat facing forward.
The machine is not a car .... year of production shouldn't make a difference as to which filter(s) to use. Go by the model & serial number. Any Case dealer, ag or industrial, should have or can certainly get any filter. Hope this helps.

You sound like you know quite a bit about the 580b

I just obtained one and the hydrolics leak badly.

It looks like I will have to make a spaner to take of the ends of the rams to replace the seals.
If you know any info on the hydrolics would you pleas pass it on.

Thanks

Tom

I bought several filters and need to know if Baldwin BF955 and/or Wix 24006 will fit my 580B Case diesel Backhoe. The number that my book shows is (A146696) for the oil.

Thanks for your help.

Donald,

The Baldwin filter you need to replace the A146696 is Baldwin number B2. I don't know what the BF955 is for and the Wix 24006 is the same as BF955. I have provided a link to Baldwin's cross reference site. Key in your number and the Baldwin cross comes up and then when you click on the Baldwin number (in blue)for the specifications and other cross information.

Thanks,
Marc

Patrick,

Double check the serial number. This one is not valid for a 580CK with a model 33 Ldr/bh. The second digit is to high for a 580CK.

Marc
