I have a 1962 830 Case tractor with a case-o-matic. The engine runs great and it drives great when I first crank it. But, after it warms up, it loses torque and the tractor will not move. Any ideas on what might be causing this problem?

you could have one or two problems. first i would take off the valve on the side of the tractor that controls the case o matic. i had similar problems once and this cured the problem. make sure you take out all the parts and screws and plugs and clean all the journals. its also possible that your pump is getting week. this pump is located on the right side of the case o matic housing where the oil cooler line comes out. i also had one where the releif valve spring broke. this valve is on top of the pump assl. inside of the housing.

Hey Tex: Assuming there isn't something wrong with the oil that it thins out like water, I would assume that the converter is wore out. Clutch plates, "O" Rings, pump, ect. Parts are available cause I just rebuilt a converter out of an "800".

I am experiencing just about the same deal with my 530 case-o-matic, only she does not stop just seems to bog down, then strats back into full power with out me doing anything... Any Ideas?
Could it be the clutch starting to slip?

Thanks Paul
