case mounted plow color

I inherited a 1948 CASE VAC a while back and am interested in restoring the mounted plow. In removing the grime from the surface, I am finding green paint. Is there a CASE green? Or did my grandfather just paint it JD green?
any help would be great.

VAC plows were almost Oliver Green, I had enough paint left on mine to see what it was originally. It looks real sharp in Oliver Green.

Daniel,

I'm getting ready to restore the VCMB plow that goes with my Dad's '46 VAC...as soon as I find a front colter shank and clamp. In my notes I see that someone had given me the paint code of 40129 which I believe is an Oliver color. Haven't done any further research on it as yet.

I have my Grandfathers mounted plow that he bought new with the 57 Case 300. Under my dirt and grime, it is green, with orange accents.

Early Case implements were green. The mounted plow that came new with my great uncles DC was green and that was 1953. I do not know when they changed to orange.

I read somewhere about Case steam engines and they called their green "grass green" I think they changed colors in 1960.
