The clutch pedal will not depress and the tractor stalls when I try to start the engine. I think it is a throw out bearing gone bad. Anyone had this trouble? Guess this means a winter of breaking the tractor in half.

Good evening. It may not be a throw out bearing. It could be that if you haven't used it lately it could be the clutch plate is stuck on the flywheel. The one's that I have found like that can sometimes be fixed if you rock the tractor back and forth while in gear. I had replaced a clutch plate and let it sit all winter and when I went to start it it had the same problem that you are having. Since it drew moisture all winter it allowed it to rust together. I rocked it few times and then you tell it broke free. So before you split your tractor take the time to check this little method out. It could save you some time and a lot frustration. Good luck

Thanks for the tip. The tractor had been sitting since 1979. I have just started getting it back into shape. This happened after about 20 minutes of driving it.
