I am looking for a used engine for a case 1030 Comfort king. Along with the torque specs for the head bolt.

I have a case 1030 that has a cracked block and have had it welded. Does anyone have any information or advise as to whether or not this is going to work? I don"t want to put a bunch of money into it if it isn"t going to work.

Hey Kelly: No reason why the welded block won't work. Where was it cracked?

It was cracked along the side but there are also some cracks on top between the pistons. The heads aren't cracked though so I am crossing my fingers. One of the pistons is broken and I am told that it will still run but I will lose some horsepower. do you know?

Hey Kelly: I've seen some ugly external cracks that were fixed so you could never tell. The cracks between the cylenders are harmless cause the sleeve takes the beating, & the head gasket seals everything. The broken piston is junk. Can't imagine why anyone would tell you different.
