did case use a hercules 298 on anything like maybe a combine? Ed

They used it in the model 1000 combine, not sure about any other models.

Hey Roger: I'm pretty sure that the "1000" used the CASE 251 engine. The "1010" might have used it. Too lazy to go up in the archives & check it out.

Hey Roger: This mystery is bigger than both of us. I looked in the Service Manual for the 800 & 1000 Combines. Both used the CASE 251 Gas or 267 Diesel. Nothing mentioned of the Herc.

John, this manual is one with the 70's logo on the cover, form # Rac 9-10194. I wish I would have looked closer at a 1000 in the junkyard at Rock Valley Iowa to see what it had in it.

Hey Roger: My Uncles had a 1000 years ago, and I remember them telling me it was the CASE gas engine.

I DON'T KNOW THAT CASE USED IT. I AM PARTING OUT A COCKSHUTT 570 THAT HAS THAT ENGINE. DO YOU NEED PARTS OR LOOKING FOR INFO.
